One Less Tooth

Adelle's right front tooth has been loose for a LONG time. For awhile it was strangely pushed back in her mouth and honestly the poor girl looked a little like a hillbilly, a cute hillbilly, but a hillbilly none the less. Then it was so loose she could close her mouth and still push her tooth out of her lips. It was a little gross. I told her if I didn't come out she might not be able to go to school with it just hanging there. I wasn't serious of course but even she was worried that the kids might not want to play with a girl who has a dangling tooth. The night before school started she finally took matters into her own hands. She pulled and twisted and finally got that front tooth to let go. She looks quite different with it gone, but she is still my cute Adelle. The tooth fairy was quite generous and gave her two whole dollars! A tooth of such caliber really should fetch a high price, right?

Adelle's First Lost Tooth

"Adelle's Lost Tooth"
"Illustrated by Adelle" (there are no drawings though)
"Written by Adelle"
"Adelle was at grandma's house and was eating when Adelle lost a tooth. Adelle was excited. The End"
Don't you just love the crazy picture of Adelle with her first little hole from losing a tooth. She called herself the celebration girl all day with her party hat and celebration necklace thanks to Grandma and Aunt Erica. I'm glad the tooth was lost so painlessly while eating a bologna sandwich at grandma's. She has been quite nervous about losing her tooth. She is my little anxiety girl and is often worried about things from our house catching on fire to losing her first tooth. The tooth fairy left her two dollars last night and she is super excited to let everyone know at school that she lost her tooth. I love my girl.
