Lydia and the Honor Guard
Last night Lydia performed with the Honor Guard from her school. They performed at the "Meet the Candidates" night at Matheson Jr. High. The Honor Guard is an organization for 4th through 6th graders. They perform flag ceremonies and also focus on physical fitness.
Her uniform is black pants, socks and shoes and a white shirt.
Here she is in the ceremony. There were several flags including the United States Flag, Utah Flag, Navy, Military, Army, and Air Force Flags. The leaders are pretty strict with the kids, but Lydia seems to like it a lot. The kids all did great.
Lydia saluting the flag. After the flag ceremony we decided to stay and listen to the local candidates to see what they had to say. I really had no idea what local candidates to vote for. It helped so much to be there and to listen to the speeches. I have a much better idea who to vote for now.
Adelle hanging out.
Adelle took this picture of me. Not too bad. Well I am sure you will be seeing more of Lydia's Honor Guard events as the year goes on. We are super proud of her. Lydia still wants to be president, even though she has been extremely bored by the presidential debates and the speeches last night. We'll have to wait and see :)

Lydia looks so grown up! Give her a hug from me. That's really neat that she's in the Honor Guard. And Adelle is becoming quite the photographer. Her old pictures were generally just of the floor...
